What do we know about Synduality Noir Season 2?
Synduality Noir is an anime adaptation based on the mixed media project by the Bandai Namco Group. For those who don’t know, Mixed Media projects aim to build a new franchise or brand by releasing related content in multiple media together to maximize consumer outreach. This includes releases in the form of anime, manga, novels, and more. This type of anime project has been seen in shows such as Assault Lily BOUQUET and more. The Bandai Namco Group has released many other anime such as Space Dandy and God Eater.
Synduality Noir follows Noir, in the year 2242, in devastated lands where people need to hide from toxic rain and hostile lifeforms known as Enders, as they survive by finding a new source of energy from AO crystals. While exploring the remote ruins with his friend, Tokio uncovers Noir, who lost her memories. With Tokio, his friend Kanata, and Noir, the three embark on a journey to uncover the history behind Noir and her life, as well as, uncover the location of Histoire.
With its unique art style, Synduality Noir has a very sharp character design, you can be sure to find clean animation, and great action throughout the anime. Considering it’s a mixed-media project, we can see how keeping other media in mind also contributed to the great animation and quality. The show has great similarities to other media such as Dr Stone.
Where we left off
Season 1 of Synduality Noir had 12 episodes with episode 13 being the beginning of a new season. We left off the first season as we saw the Drifters muster up their strength in the battle against the Silver Storm. But then Kanata refuses to let the battered and exhausted get defeated and give up. But even the revamp and upgrade to their DAISYOGRE is still desperately overwhelming.
Given, the video-game aesthetic of the show, it will be interesting to see how the show progresses after this massive battle. Moreover, it will be interesting to see what residuals will come from the Silver Storm battle. As many of us know, when battles end in anime, there is always a ripple effect created in the show’s universe.
We can also hope to see more progression in the story of Noir and also additional character development for the members of the Drifters. It will also be interesting to see how the anime also manages to expand into video games, manga, novels, etc. Only time will tell, how the series will make use of its mixed-media nature.
Release Date and trailer of Synduality Noir Season 2
The first season of Synduality Noir was released in July of 2023 and ended in September 2023. The first season was originally broadcast on TV Tokyo and was later picked up by Hulu in America. Several sources state that the next episode will be released in January 2024, a lot of them also stating that it would be a continuation of episode 12 and follow suit with season 1. While there is no trailer either, we officially have confirmation for Synduality Noir Season 2.

While we wait for the next season of Synduality Noir. We can look forward to various other pieces of media that come with the franchise. We have Synduality Elite, the manga series that was released on July 27, 2023, and began imprinting on September 25, 2023. It is very fresh to see how manga and anime get developed side by side. We also have Synduality Echo of Ada being developed as a first-person shooter for Xbox and PlayStation 5. And finally, we have Synduality Kaleido which is a spin-off light novel series in the works.
