rban Rivals is a multiplayer card game played over the internet. Each card features a different persona, some based on real persons and some on famous fictitious ones. Each playable character is part of a clan and possesses unique Power and Damage stats. All cards belonging to the same clan receive the same special benefit.
All cards have special abilities that can be used in combat; some of these abilities can even be used to negate or trigger those of opposing cards.
Players get 8 character cards just after signing up for free, and they can get even more by spending in-game cash (called “Clintz”) or by purchasing random packs with premium currency (called “Credits”).
The ‘New Blood’ bundle in the store comprises all 35 of the most recent additions to the game, and it is updated every two weeks with four new characters. One Player Facing Off Against A Computer-Controlled Foe
At the beginning of a match, each player is given four cards from their deck of eight cards face down. Each player’s deck can only contain a certain number of cards based on the format’s star count. A deck’s overall star count can be anywhere from 25 (termed T1) and limitless (termed T2), with each card having a star count from 2 to 5.
The person with most total stars on their four cards goes first, and the players take turns going first and second thereafter.
After each player has had a turn, they choose a card and play a certain number of ‘Pillz’ (minimum 1), resulting in an Attack Value equal to the card’s power value multiplied by the number of Pillz used.
The power and attack ratings of both cards may be modified or nullified by the interactions between the two cards’ abilities and bonuses. If two cards are randomly pitted against one another, the one with the higher Attack Value is more likely to prevail and deal its Damage Value to the target’s Life Points.
The card with the higher Attack Value always triumphs in a fair combat, and its Damage Value is applied to the opponent’s Life Points. All competitive battles are non-randomized. The card with fewer stars wins in the event of a tie.
If the number of stars on both cards is equal, whomever played their card first wins. After 4 rounds, the player with the most remaining Life Points is declared the victor. When one player’s Life Bar is depleted, the fight is over.
Except in the ELO Fighting Championship, where each player starts with 14 Life, each player begins a match with 12 Pillz and 12 Life. Each player gets an extra Pill at the beginning of each round.
Battle Points (BP) Are Awarded To Players After each Fight.
The player’s level is based on these points. If a card with less stars is able to defeat a card with more stars, or if one of the characters levels up as a result of the battle, the player receives extra points.
If a player wins a battle by KO and still has some Pillz remaining, they receive a bonus, but if they lose by timeout or forfeit, they suffer a penalty.
After each battle, characters gain experience (XP), allowing them to level up and become more powerful (characters can choose their own minimum and maximum levels, from 1 to 5).
Characters gain more experience points for victories and for defeating more powerful opponents. When a character reaches max level, they often gain access to a powerful new ability that aids them in combat.
